How to Pair The Earbuds?

To an iPhone Or iPad

Step 1: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 2: Open the lid of the charging case. After that, the earbuds will turn on automatically.

Step 3: Hold the earbuds next to the device.

Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions.

If you don’t see any instructions, follow the next steps:

Step 1: Press and hold the system button on the charging case for a couple of seconds, until a light starts flashing.

Step 2: Go to the device’s Bluetooth settings.

Step 3: Select the Beats Studio Buds +. If a password is needed, type “0000”. After that, the pairing will be done.

To Android Devices (Fast Pair)

NOTE: Make sure that the phone is using Android 6.0 or higher, and that it has Bluetooth and Location turned on.

Step 1: Open the lid of the charging case. After that, the earbuds will turn on automatically.

Step 2: Hold the earbuds next to the device.

Step 3: When you get a notification, tap “Tap to pair.” You’ll get a “Device connected” or “Pairing complete” notification. If you need to set up your Beats Studio Buds +, tap “Set up now.”

If you don’t get a notification, open the Bluetooth settings on your phone or tablet, and tap the device that you want to pair.

To Android Devices (Beats App)

Step 1: Make sure that your product is in pairing mode by holding down the pairing button until the light starts flashing.

Step 2: Hold the earbuds next to the device to see the pairing card.

If you don’t see the pairing card, you might need to allow location access:

Step 1: Go to Settings > Security & Location> Location.

Step 2: Make sure that “Use location” is turned on.

Step 3: Open the Beats app.

Step 4: Tap the menu in the upper-left corner of the app, and select App Settings.

Step 5: Select Android Settings > Permissions, and make sure that Location is turned on.

  • Play or pause the music: Press the Beats logo button on any of the earbuds one time.
  • Play the next song: Press the Beats logo button on any of the earbuds two times.
  • Play the previous song: Press the Beats logo button on any of the earbuds three times.
  • Answer an incoming call: Press the Beats logo button on any of the earbuds one time.
  • End a current call: Press the Beats logo button on any of the earbuds one time.
  • Answer a second incoming call and put the first call on hold: Press the Beats logo button on any of the earbuds one time.
  • Switch between two active calls: Press the Beats logo button on any of the earbuds one time

What Do The Lights Mean?

Charging case

  • A light starts flashing: The earbuds are in pairing mode.
  • A red light on while charging: The case has less than 40% of battery.
  • A red light flashing: You have to reset the earbuds.
  • A red and white light flashing: The earbuds are resetting.

How to Reset The Earbuds?

Step 1: Place both earbuds in the charging case, and keep the case open.

Step 2: Press and hold the system button on the case for 15 seconds or until the LED indicator light flashes red and white.

Step 3: Release the system button.

After that, a white light will start flashing, and the earbuds will enter pairing mode.

A Guide To Beats Studio Buds + APP

The Beats Studio Buds + have an application specially made for them, and it is the Beats app, which is available like that on the Play Store and like Beats Pill+ on the App Store. After downloading it, you have to connect the earbuds to it, in order to use it.

  • Home page: This is the page that appears after connecting the earbuds with the app. Here, you can see the percentage of the battery of each of the earbuds, in addition to configuring the ANC and changing the name, seeing the earbuds features, plus the Control and Settings options.

How to Update The Earbuds’ Firmware?

Step 1: Place the earbuds into the charging case and keep the lid open.

Step 2: Open the Beats app.

Step 3: Connect the earbuds to the app. An update button will show up if one is available.

Step 4: Tap the Firmware update button, and follow the on-screen instructions to begin the process.

Some Common Problems & Troubleshooting

Left / Right / One side of the earbuds has stopped working

If this happens, it may be because it is low on battery or it did not connect correctly with the device. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try charging the earbud that is not working or both, placing them in the charging case.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

3. Check if the earbuds are operating within a normal working range

The earbuds are not connecting to Windows/laptop/PC

If the earbuds are earbuds not connecting, it can be because the Bluetooth on the computer has a pairing problem. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try disabling Bluetooth from nearby devices >>> then activate the pairing mode of the earbuds, pair and connect earbuds from Settings >>> Bluetooth & other devices >>> Add a new device >>>> select Bluetooth.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth driver, or updating the Bluetooth driver. All can be done in Manage >>> Device Manager, reset earbuds (if available), and then repeat the step.
