How to Pair The Earbuds?

To iOS and Android phones

Step 1: Open the lid of the charging case. After that, the earbuds will turn on automatically.

Step 2: Press the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds one time.

Step 3: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds for about 2 seconds, until an orange and blue light starts flashing.

Step 4: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 5: Go to the device’s Bluetooth settings.

Step 6: Select “Beyerdynamic Free BYRD”. If a password is needed, type “0000”. After that, the pairing will be done.

To PC (Windows)

Step 1: Go to the device’s settings.

Step 2: Go to “Bluetooth and other devices”.

Step 3: Turn on the computer’s Bluetooth.

Step 4: Click on “Add device”.

Step 5: Open the lid of the charging case. After that, the earbuds will turn on automatically.

How to Charge The Earbuds?

To charge the charging case, all you have to do is to connect the case to a USB charger or charging port with the included USB-A to C cable. It will start charging automatically. Also, it can be charged using a Qi wireless charger.

What Do The Lights Mean?

Earbuds

• An orange and blue light starts flashing: The earbuds are ready to pair with any device
• A red light flashing while on the charging case: The earbuds have a low battery.
• A yellow light flashing while on the charging case: The earbuds have a medium battery.
• A green light flashing while on the charging case: The earbuds are almost charged.
• A green light on while on the charging case: The earbuds are fully charged.
• A red light flashing quickly: The earbuds have a really low battery.
• A yellow light flashes three times: The pairing list was deleted.
• A red light flashes three times: The earbuds are resetting.
• A yellow light flashes three times: The pairing list was deleted.
• A red light flashes three times: The earbuds are resetting.

Charging case

• An orange light is on: The case has a low battery.
• A white light on: The case has enough battery.
• An orange light is on while charging: The case is charging.
• A white light on while charging: The case is fully charged.

How to Delete The Pairing List?

Step 1: Open the lid of the charging case and keep the earbuds in their place.

Step 2: Press the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds two times.

Step 3: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds for about 6 seconds, until a yellow light flashes three times. After that, the pairing list will be deleted.

How to Reset The Earbuds?

Step 1: Go to the device’s configuration.

Step 2: Go to Bluetooth.

Step 3: Select the “Beyerdynamic Free BYRD”.

Step 4: Delete all pairing records.

Step 5: Open the lid of the charging case and keep the earbuds in their place.

The Beyerdynamic Free BYRD can be used with an application, called MIY App. This application is available for iOS and Android devices. Through it, the user will be able to see information about the earbuds, as well as all the internal characteristics that it has, in addition to being able to change and update them.

• Beyerdynamic logo page: This is the first part of the app, and it is the place where the user will get all the information about the company, as well as its different products. Also, there are various questions and answers in case there is a problem.

The microphone is not working

If this happens, it can be because the microphone is muted, or the earbuds are badly positioned. To fix this, you can do the following:

If the microphone is muted, check the device microphone volume. If that doesn’t work, that means that there might be a defect in the earbud, so try replacing them or get a refund.

The earbuds are not connecting to Windows/laptop/PC

If the earbuds are earbuds not connecting, it can be because the Bluetooth on the computer has a pairing problem. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try disabling Bluetooth from nearby devices >>> then activate the pairing mode of the earbuds, pair and connect earbuds from Settings >>> Bluetooth & other devices >>> Add a new device >>>> select Bluetooth.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth driver, or updating the Bluetooth driver. All can be done in Manage >>> Device Manager, reset earbuds (if available), and then repeat the step.
