How to Pair The Earbuds?

To iOS and Android Phones

Step 1: Open the lid of the charging case. After that, a white light will start flashing on the charging case, and the earbuds will turn on automatically.

Step 2: Press and hold the button on the back of the charging case until the light starts flashing blue slowly.

Step 3: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 4: Go to the device’s Bluetooth settings.

Step 5: Select “BOSE QCII EARBUDS”. If a password is needed, type “0000”. After that, a blue light will be on for 5 seconds on the charging case, and the pairing will be done.

To PC (Windows)

Step 1: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 2: Go to the settings.

Step 3: Go to “Bluetooth and other devices”.

Step 4: Click on “Add device”.

Step 5: Open the lid of the charging case. After that, a white light will start flashing on the charging case, and the earbuds will turn on automatically.

Charging case

  • A blue light starts flashing slowly: The earbuds are ready to pair with any device.
  • A blue light on for 5 seconds: The earbuds are now connected.
  • A white light flashes two times: The device list was cleared.
  • A white light flashes and turns solid amber (5 seconds) with the earbuds inside: The earbuds are charging.
  • A white light flashes and turns solid white (5 seconds) with the earbuds inside: The earbuds are fully charged.
  • A white light flashes two times, slowly flashes blue, and turns off: The reboot was completed.
  • A white light flashes 3 times (repeated): Updating software.
  • An amber and white light flashes: There was an error.
  • A white light on: The case is fully charged and plugged in.
  • A white light on for 5 seconds: The case has between 34% and 99% of battery.

How to Clear The Earbud’s Device List?

Step 2: Press and hold the button on the back of the charging case for about 25 seconds, until a white light flashes two times, slowly flashes blue, and turns off. After that, rebooting will be done.

A Guide To Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II APP

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II can be used with an application, called Bose Music. This application is available in the Apple Store and in the Play Store for iOS and Android devices.

  • Opening page: When opening the application, the first thing we have to do is connect the earbuds. The same application will give the options of different products, and you have to choose the “Headphones & frames” option, and look for the earbuds. Once connected, these will appear as soon as the application is opened.
  • Main page: Here you can not only see the battery percentage of the earbuds, but you can also configure the volume and the ANC feature (if the earbuds have it). On top of that are the Favorites, Source, and Tips options, in addition to the usual settings.

How to Update The Firmware?

Step 1: Open the Bose Music app.

Step 2: Connect the earbuds.

NOTE: When an update is available, the Bose Music app automatically downloads it. Once downloaded, the app transfers the update to the connected earbuds, which can take up to 45 minutes.

Step 3: Click on “Install Update”.

Step 4: Click on “Update Now”, follow app instructions to complete the update, and a white light will flash 3 times (repeated). When the update is complete, the said light will turn off.

Step 5: Take the earbuds out of the charging case. A “Vroom” sound should be heard.

Some Common Earbuds Problems & Troubleshooting

Left / Right / One side of the earbuds has stopped working

If this happens, it may be because it is low on battery or it did not connect correctly with the device. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try charging the earbud that is not working or both, placing them in the charging case.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

3. Check if the earbuds are operating within a normal working range

If that doesn’t work, the earbud is probably faulty, and I can go for a refund or replacement of it.

Left / Right / One side of the earbuds has a low volume

If this happens, it may be because the earbuds are dirty or the volume is set low. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try cleaning the earbud using a cotton swab or carefully clean the mesh with a pin.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

The microphone is not working

If this happens, it can be because the microphone is muted, or the earbuds are badly positioned. To fix this, you can do the following:

If the microphone is muted, check the device microphone volume. If that doesn’t work, that means that there might be a defect in the earbud, so try replacing them or get a refund.

The earbuds are not connecting to Windows/laptop/PC

If the earbuds are earbuds not connecting, it can be because the Bluetooth on the computer has a pairing problem. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try disabling Bluetooth from nearby devices >>> then activate the pairing mode of the earbuds, pair and connect earbuds from Settings >>> Bluetooth & other devices >>> Add a new device >>>> select Bluetooth.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth driver, or updating the Bluetooth driver. All can be done in Manage >>> Device Manager, reset earbuds (if available), and then repeat the step.

3. Try resetting the earbuds.
