How to Pair The Earbuds?

To Android or iOS Devices

Step 1: Open the lid of the charging case and take the earbuds out. After that, the earbuds will turn on automatically. A blue light will start flashing on the case, and the earbuds will be ready to pair with any device.

To manually place the earbuds into pairing mode, open the charging case lid and press and hold the button inside the case for about 1.5 seconds until the case indicator flashes blue.

Step 2: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 3: Select the Pi7 S2 earbuds. If a password is needed, type “0000”. After that, a blue light will stay on, and the pairing will be done.

To Android 6.0+ Devices Supporting Google Fast Pair Service

Step 1: Place the case no further than 10 cm (4 inches) away from the Android device and ensure the Bluetooth connection is enabled.

Step 2: The first time the charging case lid is opened, the earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode and the case indicator will flash blue.

To manually place the earbuds into pairing mode, open the charging case lid and press and hold the button inside the case for about 1.5 seconds until the case indicator flashes blue.

Step 3: A GFPS (Google Fast Pair Service) notification will pop up showing that your device has been detected and request to start the pairing process.

Step 4: Press the Connect button to enable pairing; a successful connection will be shown in the popup.

Once paired, the popup will direct you to the Google Play store to install the Bowers & Wilkins Music app.

Disconnecting The Earbuds

You can quickly disconnect the earbuds from a device by placing them back into the case. Alternatively, you can manage connections in further detail using the Bowers & Wilkins Music app, in the Connections page of the earbud Settings menu.

How to Wear These Earbuds?

Step 1: Take both earbuds out of the charging case.

Step 2: Identify the left and right earbuds.

Step 3: Choose the ear tips that best suit your ears.

Step 4: Insert the headphones into the inner canal of the ears.

Step 5: Rotate for the best possible comfort and best fit, and make sure that the microphone is pointing to the mouth.

How to Turn On And Off?

Turn on: Open the lid of the charging case and take the earbuds out. After that, the earbuds will turn on automatically.

Turn off: Place the earbuds into the charging case. After that, the earbuds will turn off automatically.

How to Control These Earbuds? – Stereo Mode

  • Play or pause the music: Press the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds one time.
  • Auto-pause a song: Take the earbuds out of the ear canal.
  • Auto-play a song: Place the earbuds into the ear canal.
  • Play the next song: Press the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds two times.
  • Play the previous song: Press the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds three times.
  • Answer an incoming call: Press the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds one time.
  • End a current call: Press the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds two times.
  • Activate the voice assistant: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on the right earbud for 1 second.
  • Activate the noise canceling feature: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on the left earbud for 1 second.

How to Activate The Mono Mode?

To activate or deactivate the mono mode in these earbuds, all you have to do is to pair the earbuds to the device and take out one of the earbuds from the charging case. It will start working by itself.

How to Charge The Earbuds?

To charge the earbuds, all you have to do is to place them into the charging case and close its lid. The earbuds will start charging automatically.

Charging case

To charge the charging case, all you have to do is to connect the case to a USB charger or charging port. It will start charging automatically. Also, it can get charged using a wireless charger.

How to Factory Reset The Earbuds?

Perform the factory reset to clear the paired device history and restore all settings to their defaults.

NOTE: If the earbuds are not functioning properly, please perform a factory reset to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Open the charging case with the earbuds placed inside.

Step 2: Press and hold the button on the inside of the case for 5 seconds and release.

The indicator on the case will turn red to indicate the reset.

How to Hard Reset The Earbuds?

NOTE: If a serious system crash occurs (i.e., the LED on the case is solid red), first try removing the earbuds from the case and replacing them. If this does not resolve the issue, please perform a hard reset.

Step 1: Open the charging case with the earbuds placed inside.

Step 2: Press and hold the button inside the case for 15 seconds until the LED indicator goes off and illuminates green to indicate the completion of the hard reset process.

What Do The Lights Mean?

Charging case

  • A green light stays on while charging: The case is fully charged.
  • A green light flashes while charging: The case has more than 40% of battery.
  • A yellow light flashes while charging: The case has between 20% and 40% of battery.
  • A red light flashes while charging: The case has less than 20% of battery.
  • A red light on: There was a hardware reset/system crash.
  • A green light stays on with the earbuds inside: The earbuds are fully charged.
  • A green light flashes with the earbuds inside: The earbuds have more than 40% of battery.
  • A yellow light flashes with the earbuds inside: The earbuds have between 20% and 40% of battery.
  • A red light flashes with the earbuds inside: The earbuds have less than 20% of battery.
  • A red light on with the earbuds inside: There was a hardware reset/system crash.
  • A blue light flashing with the earbuds inside: The earbuds are now in pairing mode.
  • A blue light stays on with the earbuds inside: The Bluetooth pairing was successful.
  • A light turns off and turns green: The hard reset is complete.

NOTE: To know about the battery percentage of the charging case while it’s not charging, press its button once. To know about the battery percentage of the earbuds, place them into the charging case and press its button twice.

Pairing a Bowers & Wilkins headphone To The Case

The charging case can pair with another Bowers & Wilkins headphone for media streaming (e.g., to listen wirelessly to an in-flight movie using a pair of Px8 over-ear headphones).

NOTE: The case can only transmit to one pair of headphones at a time. Both earbuds must be inside the case while streaming to the other headphones.

Step 1: Connect the supplied cable to the case and the source device.

Step 2: Press and hold the button on the outside of the case for 3 seconds until the LED light flashes blue.

Step 3: Enable Bluetooth pairing mode on the other Bowers & Wilkins headphones.

The case will take a few seconds to pair with the other Bowers & Wilkins headphones. The case LED will change to solid blue once the connection is complete.

Step 4: Press the button twice to stop streaming and once to restart streaming.

A Guide To Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 APP

The Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 have an application specially made for them, and it is the Bowers & Wilkins Music app, which is available on Play Store and App Store. After you pair the earbuds to the app, you will find four pages at the bottom, which are divided as follows:

  • First page: In here, being the “main page”, you will find music of any kind, being separated into different categories like made for you, and recently played.
  • Second page: This is like the library of the app, where all the music is located, plus also has some podcasts and radio support.
  • Third page: This is the search page, where you can place the name of the songs you want to get, as well as various artists.
  • Fourth page: On this last page, we find everything related to the earbuds. Not only is there the battery percentage of the earbuds and charging case, but you can also configure the ANC and PassThrough, activate or deactivate the wear sensor, and even give the earbuds another name.

Some Common Problems & Troubleshooting

Left / Right / One side of the earbuds has stopped working

If this happens, it may be because it is low on battery or it did not connect correctly with the device. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try charging the earbud that is not working or both, placing them in the charging case.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

3. Check if the earbuds are operating within a normal working range

If that doesn’t work, the earbud is probably faulty, and I can go for a refund or replacement of it.

Left / Right / One side of the earbuds has a low volume

If this happens, it may be because the earbuds are dirty or the volume is set low. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try cleaning the earbud using a cotton swab or carefully clean the mesh with a pin.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

The microphone is not working

If this happens, it can be because the microphone is muted, or the earbuds are badly positioned. To fix this, you can do the following:

If the microphone is muted, check the device microphone volume. If that doesn’t work, that means that there might be a defect in the earbud, so try replacing them or get a refund.

The earbuds are not connecting to Windows/laptop/PC

If the earbuds are earbuds not connecting, it can be because the Bluetooth on the computer has a pairing problem. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try disabling Bluetooth from nearby devices >>> then activate the pairing mode of the earbuds, pair and connect earbuds from Settings >>> Bluetooth & other devices >>> Add a new device >>>> select Bluetooth.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth driver, or updating the Bluetooth driver. All can be done in Manage >>> Device Manager, reset earbuds (if available), and then repeat the step.

3. Try resetting the earbuds.
