Some Common Problems & Troubleshooting

Left / Right / One side of the earbuds has stopped working

If this happens, it may be because it is low on battery or it did not connect correctly with the device. To fix this, you can do the following:

  1. Try charging the earbud that is not working or both, placing them in the charging case.
  2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.
  3. Check if the earbuds are operating within a normal working range

If that doesn’t work, the earbud is probably faulty, and I can go for a refund or replacement of it.

Left / Right / One side of the earbuds has a low volume

If this happens, it may be because the earbuds are dirty or the volume is set low. To fix this, you can do the following:

  1. Try cleaning the earbud using a cotton swab or carefully clean the mesh with a pin.
  2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

The microphone is not working

If this happens, it can be because the microphone is muted, or the earbuds are badly positioned. To fix this, you can do the following: If the microphone is muted, check the device microphone volume. If that doesn’t work, that means that there might be a defect in the earbuds, so try replacing them or getting a refund.

The earbuds are not connecting to Windows/laptop/PC

If the earbuds are earbuds not connecting, it can be because the Bluetooth on the computer has a pairing problem. To fix this, you can do the following:

  1. Try disabling Bluetooth from nearby devices >>> then activate the pairing mode of the earbuds, pair and connect earbuds from Settings >>> Bluetooth & other devices >>> Add a new device >>>> Select Bluetooth.
  2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth driver, or updating the Bluetooth driver. All can be done in Manage >>> Device Manager, reset earbuds (if available), and then repeat the step.
  3. Try resetting the earbuds.

  5. Having a problem with my x3, right earbud does not have power (blue or red light when charged or taken off its case) any help?

  6. I can’t turn my earbuds on. I have to put them on charge for
at least 1-2 secs to turn them on everytime to use.

  7. Some people are reporting that the earbuds won’t turn off when you place them inside the case.

It happened to me. I placed both earbuds inside case and went for lunch. Went back from lunch and found them still connected to my laptop and at 66%.

After fidgeting around I found what worked for me was putting the earbuds inside the case and connecting the charger to it. The earbuds start blinking red, indicating that they are charging.

My guess is that when the case battery is depleted, the earbuds won’t get a message to turn off.

  8. My Edifier X3 don’t turn off on when I put them on charging case. They flash a blue light and still working. How Can I solve that problem?

    1. It’s infuriating having to check on my phone if they are actually turned off or sneakily still connected. Long press for 5 seconds turns them off manually.

    2. Try charging the case. I guess the earbuds can’t get the signal to turn off when the case has no battery.
