Home Latest News Huawei officially released the Pocket S foldable phone during its conference on November 2nd. Huawei Pocket S is the younger version of the P50 Pocket and adopts a flip-folding design. But the Pocket S is much thinner, lighter, and more compact than its predecessor. One of the greatest highlights of the phone is the 6 color options in which it is available. This is to capture the younger generation. The six colors are: Cherry Grass Gold Mint Green Cherry Pink Ice Crystal Blue Obsidian Black Frost Silver Huawei Pocket S is equipped with a 6.9-inch foldable display, with four sides basically equal in width, and a 21:9 screen ratio. It has a pixel density of 442ppi, 1.07 billion colors, and a P3 wide color gamut, support for up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 300Hz ultra-high touch sampling rate along with 1440Hz PWM dimming. The industry’s first multi-dimensional linkage lift waterdrop hinge is used in the folding technology, which will form a waterdrop screen space when flipped. The waterdrop hinge design cleverly solves the problem of body gaps when folded, making the folded form perfectly seamless and extremely thin along with a more comfortable grip. The MIM steel is the strongest material in the phone industry and was developed by Huawei’s Super Material Lab, making it impact resistant and durable. Overall, Huawei Pocket S can withstand 400,000 repeated folding. Even if it is folded 200 times a day, it can last for more than 5 years. The new phone also continues the design of the smart external screen which is a small round screen along the rear circular camera. One can view notifications, phone calls, rear camera, weather, and other applications. This was also possible in the P50 Pocket. However, this one can now make payments and other operations and supports countless different themes that can be freely changed and customized. In terms of camera, the Huawei Pocket S is equipped with a super-aware imaging system, including a 40MP RYYB main camera with 40% more light intake than RGGB. This can clearly record details in dark light conditions. Moreover, there’s also a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens, a 10-channel multi-spectrum sensor, and a laser focus sensor that allows for better photo speed and photo color. The phone has a built-in 4000mAh battery and supports 40W Huawei Super Fast Charge, which can be charged more than half in 20 minutes in Turbo mode.See alsoMeizu 21 debuts with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsetMuhammad Arbaz·December 1, 2023 As for the OS, Huawei Pocket S is pre-installed with HarmonyOS 3.0, which supports features such as hyperspace storage compression, super staging, and a personalized UX experience.
