How to Pair The Earbuds?

To iOS and Android phones

Step 1: Open the lid of the charging case and take the earbuds out. After that, the earbuds will turn on automatically.

Step 2: Press and hold the multifunction touch sensor on both earbuds for about 5 seconds, until a “Pairing” voice note sounds. After that, the earbuds will be ready to pair with any device.

Step 3: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 4: Go to the device’s Bluetooth settings.

Step 5: Select the “IQbuds2MAX_XXX” earbuds (the XXX represents a unique code in each device). If a password is needed, type “0000”. After that, the pairing will be done.

To PC (Windows)

Step 1: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 2: Go to the settings.

Step 3: Go to “Bluetooth and other devices”.

Step 4: Click on “Add device”.

Step 5: Open the lid of the charging case and take the earbuds out. After that, the earbuds will turn on automatically.

How to Wear?

Step 1: Take both earbuds out of the charging case.

Step 2: Identify the left and right earbuds.

Step 3: Choose the ear tips that best suit your ears.

Step 4: Insert the headphones into the inner canal of the ears.

Step 5: Rotate for the best possible comfort and best fit, and make sure that the microphone is pointing to the mouth.

How to Control? / How to Operate? – Instructions

  • Play or pause a song: Press the multifunction touch sensor on the left earbud one time.
  • Answer an incoming call: Press the multifunction touch sensor on the left earbud one time.
  • End a current call: Press and hold the multifunction touch sensor on the right earbud.
  • Reject an incoming call: Press and hold the multifunction touch sensor on the right earbud.
  • Mute or unmute the microphone: Press the multifunction touch sensor on the left earbud one time.
  • Activate the voice assistant: Press the multifunction touch sensor on any of the earbuds two times.
  • Activate the World On mode (ANC and Ear ID): Press the multifunction touch sensor on the right earbud one time.

How to Activate The Mono Mode?

To activate or deactivate the mono mode in these earbuds, all you have to do is to pair the earbuds to the device and take out one of the earbuds from the charging case. It will start working by itself.

What Do The Lights Mean?

Charging case

  • A red light on the front of the case with the earbuds inside: The earbuds are charging.
  • A green light on the front of the case with the earbuds inside: The earbuds are fully charged.
  • A red light on the side of the case: The case has enough battery for more than a full charge of the earbuds.
  • A green light on the side of the case: The case doesn’t have enough battery for more than a full charge of the earbuds.
  • A red light on the side of the case while charging: The case is charging.
  • A green light on the side of the case while charging: The case is fully charged.

A Guide To The Nuheara IQBuds2 MAX App

The Nuheara IQBuds2 MAX earbuds can be used with the help of an app specially made for them, called IQbuds, which is available on the Play Store and App Store.

  • World page: Technically, this is the main page of the app. Here, the volume of the earbuds can be configured, in addition to the equalizer and the ANC and World modes.
  • IQstream page: These earbuds and the app allow multiple devices to connect to the earbuds, not just smartphones. Through IQstream, you can listen to music or series from any TV.
  • Ear ID page: Although the Ear ID enters the World mode, it has its own page. Here, you can configure this feature, so that it works in the best possible way to boost the hearing experience.
  • My Buds page: This is the part of the earbuds. Here, the various controls that the earbuds have available can be configured, in addition to being able to reset if necessary.

How to Update The Earbud’s Firmware?

The earbuds must be charged to 40% or higher.

Step 1: Connect the earbuds to the mobile device.

Step 1: Open the IQbuds app.

Step 2: Select My Buds from the menu.

Step 3: Under the Update Centre; you should see Update Now next to the firmware version. You may have to scroll down to see this, depending on the model of your mobile device.

Step 4: Select Update Now. A list of improvements will be displayed for the update.

Step 5: Select Next.

Step 6: Plug the charging case into the USB power source. Connect one end of your USB cable to the earbuds’ case and the other end to a power source, like a USB power adapter or a USB port on a computer. You need to do this even if your charge case battery is full.

Step 7: Select Next.

Step 8: Remove the earbuds from your ears and insert them into the case.

Step 9: Close the lid of the charging case. The update will begin shortly and will take approximately 10 minutes. Depending on your mobile device and model, it may take longer.

Step 10: Once the update is 100% complete, select OK.

Step 11: You’ll receive a confirmation that the update was successful. Select OK.

Step 12: Reconnect the earbuds to the desired device.

Some Common Problems & Troubleshooting

Left / Right / One side of the earbuds has stopped working

If this happens, it may be because it is low on battery or it did not connect correctly with the device. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try charging the earbud that is not working or both, placing them in the charging case.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

3. Check if the earbuds are operating within a normal working range

If that doesn’t work, the earbud is probably faulty, and I can go for a refund or replacement of it.

Left / Right / One side of the earbuds has a low volume

If this happens, it may be because the earbuds are dirty or the volume is set low. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try cleaning the earbud using a cotton swab or carefully clean the mesh with a pin.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

The microphone is not working

If this happens, it can be because the microphone is muted, or the earbuds are badly positioned. To fix this, you can do the following:
