Red Magic 9S Pro Series debuts with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Red Magic has released the Red Magic 9S Pro series, the Pro and Pro+ only differ in battery capacity, fast charging power, and capacity versions. The phone comes with the first version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 leading edition, up to 24GB RAM, maximum of 1TB device storage, stunning 6.8-inch BOE Q9+ OLED, 16MP under the screen front camera, triple cameras on the back, up to 6500mAh battery which supports 80W fast charging and much more.

Design & Appearance

The Red Magic 9S Pro series comes with a 6.8-inch Q9+ OLED full screen with a resolution of 2480 x 1116. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 960Hz touch sampling rate, and 2000Hz instantaneous sampling rate for a smoother user experience. The screen has an excitation brightness of up to 1600nit and a global brightness of up to 1000nit. It supports 2160Hz PWM high-frequency dimming and DC-like dimming as well.

Red Magic 9S Pro

The device has a thickness of 8.9mm and weighs 229g. It has a metal middle frame, and flat glass back cover with 520Hz independent IC touch lightning effect shoulder buttons. The phone supports USB 3.2 Gen 1, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.3m WiFi 7, infrared remote control, and NFC. It is equipped with a REDMAGIC OS 9.5 system and is connected to a self-developed Rubik Cube AI large model. The phone comes in various color options of

Processor & Storage

The Red Magic 9S Pro series gets its processing power from Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 leading edition making them the first phones to use the chipset. It has a Red Core R2 Pro self-developed gaming chip, ICE 13.5 magic cooling system, and supports Genshine impact 1674P super resolution.

The phones come with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 flash memory for faster data transfer rates. The Red Magic 9S Pro comes with 12GB RAM and storage options of 256GB and 512 GB. At the same time, the Pro + version comes in RAM options of 16GB and 24GB and device storage of 512GB and 1TB.

Cameras of the Red Magic 9S Pro

The 16MP front camera (OmniVision OV16E1Q) of the Red Magic 9S Pro series is hidden under the screen. On the rear side, it has triple cameras for optimal photos and videos. The primary lens is 50MP (Samsung S5KGN5) WITH a 50MP ultra-wide angle (Samsung S5KJN1). It also has a 2MP macro lens (Galcore GC02M1).

Battery

The battery capacity of the Red Magic 9S Pro is 6500mAh which supports 80W fast charging. It only takes 35 minutes to charge the device fully. While the Pro+ version has a 5500mAh battery which supports 165W fast charging. The phone only takes 16 minutes to fully charge the device to 100%.
