How To Wear These Earbuds?

Step 1: Take both earbuds out of the charging case.

Step 2: Identify the left and right earbuds.

Step 3: Choose the ear tips that best suit your ears.

Step 4: Insert the headphones into the inner canal of the ears.

Step 5: Rotate for the best possible comfort and best fit, and make sure that the microphone is pointing to the mouth.

How To Turn On And Off?

Turn On

Automatically: Open the lid of the charging case and take the earbuds out. After that, a “ping” tone will sound, a blue light will be on for 2 seconds, and they will turn on automatically.

Manually: Press and hold the multifunction touch area on both earbuds for about 1 second.

Turn Off

Automatically: Place the earbuds into the charging case. After that, the earbuds will turn off automatically.

Manually: Press the multifunction touch area on both earbuds two times, and then press and hold for about 1 second.

How To Pair The Earbuds?

To Android Or iOS Devices

Step 1: Remove the stickers covering the charging points on both earbuds and place them into the charging case. Make sure that there is a red light on the earbuds, meaning that they are charging.

Step 2: Open the lid of the charging case and take the earbuds out. After that, a “ping” tone will sound, a blue light will be on for 2 seconds, and they will turn on automatically. If they don’t turn on, then press and hold the multifunction touch area on both earbuds for about 1 second.

When a red and blue light starts flashing on the earbuds, and the “Ready to pair” voice prompt is heard, the earbuds will be ready to pair with any device.

NOTE: If the earbuds don’t enter pairing mode automatically, then press and hold the multifunction touch area on both earbuds for about 3 seconds, until a red and blue light starts flashing on the earbuds, and the “Ready to pair” voice prompt is heard. This will activate the manual pairing mode.

Step 3: Unlock the desired device.

Step 4: Go to the device’s settings.

Step 5: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 6: Search for a new device.

Step 7: Select the Smokin’ Buds earbuds. If a password is needed, type “0000”. After that, the “Connected” voice prompt will sound, and the pairing will be done.

To Windows (PC)

Step 1: Turn on Window’s Bluetooth.

Step 2: Go to the settings.

Step 3: Go to “Bluetooth and other devices”.

Step 4: Click on “Add device”.

Step 5: Click on Bluetooth.

How To Re-Sync The Earbuds?

If there is missing audio in one of the earbuds, then re-sync them. To do this, all you have to do is to place them into the charging case and close its lid for about 2 seconds; when removed, both earbuds should play audio.

With that being said, if that doesn’t happen, then do the following steps:

Step 1: Go to the device’s settings and turn off Bluetooth.

Step 2: Place the earbuds into the charging case and keep the lid open.

Step 3: Take both earbuds out of the charging case and make sure they are powered on (a “ping” tone will sound, and a blue light turns on for 2 seconds).

Step 4: Press and multifunction touch area on both earbuds 6 times. A red and blue light will start flashing as the earbuds re-sync.

When a blue light flashes four times, it will indicate a successful true wireless sync between the earbuds.

Step 5: Go to the device’s settings and turn on Bluetooth.

Step 6: Select the Smokin’ Buds earbuds.

A blue light will flash 1 time, and a voice prompt will indicate when the earbuds have connected.

Pairing To A Second Device

To pair the earbuds to a second device after the first time pairing, and while the earbuds are powered on in any connection state (disconnected or connected), all you have to do is follow the next steps:

Step 1: Press and hold the multifunction touch area on both earbuds for about 3 seconds, until the “Disconnected” voice prompt is heard, being followed by the “Ready to pair” voice prompt and a red and blue light flashing. This will put the earbuds into manual pairing mode.

NOTE: If you are currently connected to a device and have it nearby, you can also manually disconnect the Bluetooth on your device and your buds will enter directly into pairing mode as well.

Step 2: Unlock the desired device.

Step 3: Go to the device’s settings.

Step 4: Turn on Bluetooth.

Step 5: Search for a new device.

Step 6: Select the Smokin’ Buds earbuds. If a password is needed, type “0000”. After that, the “Connected” voice prompt will sound, and the pairing will be done.

Important to note that after powering the earbuds off and back on, the most recently paired device will automatically pair with them.

How To Control These Earbuds? – Stereo Mode

  • Play or pause a song: Press the multifunction touch area on any of the earbuds one time.
  • Turn the volume up: Press the multifunction touch area on any of the earbuds two times.
  • Turn the volume down: Press the multifunction touch area on any of the earbuds three times.
  • Answer an incoming call: Press the multifunction touch area on any of the earbuds one time.
  • End a current call: Press the multifunction touch area on any of the earbuds one time.
  • Activate the voice assistant: Press and hold the multifunction touch area on any of the earbuds for about 1 second.
  • Change between EQ modes: Press the multifunction touch area on any of the earbuds four times.

How To Activate The Mono Mode?

To activate or deactivate the mono mode in these earbuds, all you have to do is to pair the earbuds to the device and take out one of the earbuds from the charging case. It will start working by itself.

How To Charge The Earbuds?

To charge the earbuds, all you have to do is to place them into the charging case. The earbuds will start charging automatically.

Charging Case

To charge the charging case, all you have to do is to connect the case to a USB charger or charging port. It will start charging automatically.

How To Reset The Paired Device List?

If the earbuds don’t have audio streaming as they should, or they are having pairing issues, please proceed to fully reset the paired device list of the earbuds with the following steps:

Step 1: Delete all the pairing information from the earbuds on the connected device.

Step 2: Turn the device’s Bluetooth off.

Step 3: Remove both earbuds from the charging case. A “ping” tone will sound, and a blue light turns on for 2 seconds indicating that the earbuds are powered on.

Step 4: Press and hold the multifunction touch area on both earbuds for about 6 seconds, until you hear 2 tones.

After that, a purple light will flash on the earbuds 6 times, a tone will indicate a successful reset, and the “Ready to pair” voice prompt will be heard, so the earbuds will be ready to pair with any device.

Step 5: Go to the device’s settings.

Step 6: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 7: Search for a new device.

Step 8: Select the Smokin’ Buds earbuds. If a password is needed, type “0000”. After that, the “Connected” voice prompt will sound, and the pairing will be done.

The Earbuds’ Voice Prompts

  • Ready to pair: The earbuds are ready to pair with any device.
  • Connected: The earbuds are connected to the device.
  • Battery low: The earbuds have a low battery level (with about 40 minutes of playtime remaining, and again every 10 minutes until the battery automatically powers off once depleted).

What Does The Lights Mean?

Earbuds

  • A blue light on for 2 seconds: The earbuds turn on.
  • A red and blue light flashing: The earbuds will be ready to pair with any device.
  • A red light on for 5 seconds while on the charging case: The earbuds are charging.
  • A blue light on for 5 seconds while on the charging case: The earbuds are fully charged.
  • A red light on for 4 seconds every 10 minutes: The earbuds have a low battery.
  • A red light flashes one time, and then blue for 5 seconds while placed on the charging case: The earbuds are fully charged.
  • A blue light flashing while re-syncing: The re-syncing process is done
  • A blue light flashes 4 times while re-syncing: There was a successful sync.
  • A blue light flashes 1 time while re-syncing: The earbuds are now connected.
  • A purple light flashes 5 times while resetting: The earbuds are resetting.

Charging Case

  • A red light on: The case has between 0% and 25% of battery.
  • A yellow light on: The case has between 26% and 75% of battery.
  • A green light on: The case has between 76% and 100% of battery.

Some Common Problems & Troubleshooting

Left/Right/One side of the earbuds has stopped working

If this happens, it may be because it is low on battery or it did not connect correctly with the device. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try charging the earbud that is not working or both, placing them in the charging case.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

3. Check if the earbuds are operating within a normal working range

If that doesn’t work, the earbud is probably faulty, and I can go for a refund or replacement of it.

Left/Right/One side of the earbuds has a low volume

If this happens, it may be because the earbuds are dirty or the volume is set low. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try cleaning the earbud using a cotton swab or carefully clean the mesh with a pin.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

The microphone is not working

If this happens, it can be because the microphone is muted, or the earbuds are badly positioned. To fix this, you can do the following:

If the microphone is muted, check the device microphone volume. If that doesn’t work, that means that there might be a defect in the earbud, so try replacing them or get a refund.

The earbuds are not connecting to Windows/laptop/PC

If the earbuds are earbuds not connecting, it can be because the Bluetooth on the computer has a pairing problem. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try disabling Bluetooth from nearby devices >>> then activate the pairing mode of the earbuds, pair and connect earbuds from Settings >>> Bluetooth & other devices >>> Add a new device >>>> select Bluetooth.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth driver, or updating the Bluetooth driver. All can be done in Manage >>> Device Manager, reset earbuds (if available), and then repeat the step.

3. Try resetting the earbuds.
