How to Pair The Earbuds?

To Android Devices

Step 1: Open the lid of the charging case and take the earbuds out. After that, the earbuds will turn on automatically. Also, you can press and hold the multifunction touch button on both earbuds for about 2 seconds or more.

When a blue light flashes twice and the “pairing” voice prompt sounds, it means that the earbuds will be ready to pair with any device.

Step 2: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 3: Go to the device’s Bluetooth settings.

Step 4: Select “WF-C700N”. If a password is needed, type “0000”.

Step 5: After that, a blue light will flash ten times, and the pairing will be done.

To PC (Windows)

Step 1: Turn on Window’s Bluetooth.

Step 2: Go to the settings.

Step 3: Go to “Bluetooth and other devices”.

Step 4: Click on “Add device”.

Step 5: Click on Bluetooth.

How to Pair To A Second Device?

Step 1: Place the earbuds into the charging case and keep the lid open.

Step 2: Press and hold the button on the back of the charging case for about 5 seconds or more. When a blue light flashes twice and the “pairing” voice prompt sounds, it means that the earbuds will be ready to pair with any device.

Step 3: Turn on Bluetooth on the second device.

Step 4: Go to the device’s Bluetooth settings.

Step 5: Select “WF-C700N”. If a password is needed, type “0000”.

How to Wear These Earbuds?

Step 1: Take both earbuds out of the charging case.

Step 2: Identify the left and right earbuds.

Step 3: Choose the ear tips that best suit your ears.

Step 4: Insert the headphones into the inner canal of the ears.

Step 5: Rotate for the best possible comfort and best fit, and make sure that the microphone is pointing to the mouth.

How to Turn On And Off?

Turn on: Open the lid of the charging case and take the earbuds out. After that, the earbuds will turn on automatically. Also, you can press and hold the multifunction touch button on both earbuds for about 2 seconds or more.

Turn off: Place the earbuds into the charging case and close its lid. After that, the earbuds will turn off automatically.

How to Control These Earbuds? – Stereo Mode

  • Play or pause the music: Press the multifunction touch button on the right earbud one time.
  • Play the next song: Press the multifunction touch button on the right earbud two times.
  • Skip to the beginning of the previous song: Press the multifunction touch button on the right earbud three times.
  • Skip to the beginning of the current song during playback: Press the multifunction touch button on the right earbud three times.
  • Answer an incoming call: Press the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds two times.
  • End a current call: Press the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds two times.
  • Cancel an outgoing call: Press the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds two times.
  • Reject an incoming call: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds.
  • Activate or cancel the voice assistant: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on the right earbud.
  • Switch between the Noise Cancelation function and Ambient Sound mode: Press the multifunction touch button on the right earbud one time.

How to Activate The Mono Mode?

To activate or deactivate the mono mode in these earbuds, all you have to do is to pair the earbuds to the device and take out one of the earbuds from the charging case. It will start working by itself.

How to Charge The Earbuds?

Earbuds

To charge the earbuds, all you have to do is to place them into the charging case. The earbuds will start charging automatically.

Charging case

To charge the charging case, all you have to do is to connect the case to a USB charger or charging port. It will start charging automatically.

How to Reset The Earbuds?

If the headset cannot be turned on or cannot be operated even when it is turned on, reset the headset. Reset one of the headset units at a time.

Step 1: Place one of the earbuds into the charging case and keep the lid open.

Step 2: Press and hold the reset button on the back of the charging case for about 20 seconds or more. After about 15 seconds, the indicator (orange) on the charging case flashes for about 5 seconds.

Step 3: Check that the indicator turns off and then release your finger.

Step 4: Take the earbud out and repeat the previous steps with the second earbud.

NOTE: The pairing information and other settings are retained.

Restore The Earbuds’ Factory Settings

Step 1: Place both earbuds into the charging case and keep the lid open.

Step 2: Press and hold the initialize button on the back of the charging case for about 15 seconds or more. A blue light will flash twice in a row, and an orange light will start flashing.

Step 3: Release your finger within 5 seconds after the orange light starts flashing.

When the initializing is complete, a green light will flash four times.

NOTE: This operation resets volume settings, etc. to the factory settings, and deletes all pairing information.

The Earbuds’ Voice Prompts

  • Pairing: The earbuds are now ready to pair with any device.
  • Low battery: The earbuds have a low battery.
  • Battery is empty: The earbuds turn off due to low battery.

What Do The Lights Mean?

Charging case

When the charging case lid is opened or closed, or when the USB Type-C cable is removed after charging is complete, the indicator lights up as follows depending on the remaining battery charge:

  • A green light on for 6 seconds with the earbuds inside: The earbuds have 71% of battery or more.
  • A green light on for 6 seconds: The case has 21% of battery or more.
  • An orange light on for 6 seconds with the earbuds inside: The earbuds have between 70% and 1% of battery.
  • An orange light on for 6 seconds: The case has between 20% and 1% of battery.
  • No light with the earbuds inside: The earbuds have less than 1% of battery.
  • No light on: The case has less than 1% of battery.

When the headset units are removed from the charging case, or when the headset units are set into the charging case, the indicator lights up as follows depending on the remaining battery charge:

  • A green light on for 3 seconds with the earbuds inside: The earbuds have 71% of battery or more.
  • A green light on for 3 seconds: The case has 21% of battery or more.
  • An orange light on for 3 seconds with the earbuds inside: The earbuds have between 70% and 1% of battery.
  • An orange light on for 3 seconds: The case has between 20% and 1% of battery.
  • No light with the earbuds inside: The earbuds have less than 1% of battery.
  • No light on: The case has less than 1% of battery.

While on the charging process, the indicator lights up as follows:

  • An orange light on with the earbuds inside: The earbuds are charging.
  • An orange light on while charging: The case is charging.
  • No light on: The earbuds/case are fully charged.
  • An orange light on and off for about 0.5 seconds: The lid was open or closed/the earbuds are placed or removed from the case.
  • An orange light flashes twice with an interval of about 1 second: There was an abnormal charging temperature.
  • An orange light flashes slowly with an interval of about 0.5 seconds: An error occurs while charging and charging cannot be performed.
  • An orange light flashes three times with an interval of about 1.3 seconds: There is an abnormal combination of left and right earbuds.

While in the pairing process, the indicator lights up as follows:

  • A blue light flashes twice: The earbuds are now ready to pair with any device.
  • A blue light flashes ten times: The connection process is complete.

While doing other actions with the earbuds, the indicator lights up as follows:

  • An orange light flashes for about 5 seconds with an interval of about 0.7 seconds: The earbuds are resetting/factory resetting.
  • A green light flashes four times: The factory reset is complete.

A Guide To Sony WF-C700N APP

The Sony WF-C700N have an application specially made for them, and it is the Sony | Headphones Connect app, which is available on Play Store and App Store.

Right when you open the application, you will have the possibility to add any device you want. After doing that, you can enter the application as such, which has three parts: Headphones and Information. In “Headphones”, you will find three points:

  • Status: In this first part, you can control the volume of the earbuds, as well as pause, skip or rewind the song or video that is being played.
  • Sound: In this second part, some features of the earbuds can be customized, such as the ambient sound control and equalizer, and configure a 360 Reality Audio Setup feature.
  • System: Finally, in this third part, you can change the functions of the earbuds, as well as notifications and software updates, which are done by the application itself.

Some Common Problems & Troubleshooting

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

3. Check if the earbuds are operating within a normal working range

Left / Right / One side of the earbuds has a low volume

If this happens, it may be because the earbuds are dirty or the volume is set low. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try cleaning the earbud using a cotton swab or carefully clean the mesh with a pin.

2. Try factory resetting the earbuds.

The microphone is not working

If this happens, it can be because the microphone is muted, or the earbuds are badly positioned. To fix this, you can do the following:

If the microphone is muted, check the device microphone volume. If that doesn’t work, that means that there might be a defect in the earbud, so try replacing them or get a refund.

The earbuds are not connecting to Windows/laptop/PC

If the earbuds are earbuds not connecting, it can be because the Bluetooth on the computer has a pairing problem. To fix this, you can do the following:

1. Try disabling Bluetooth from nearby devices >>> then activate the pairing mode of the earbuds, pair and connect earbuds from Settings >>> Bluetooth & other devices >>> Add a new device >>>> select Bluetooth.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth driver, or updating the Bluetooth driver. All can be done in Manage >>> Device Manager, reset earbuds (if available), and then repeat the step.
