Sony WF-SP700N Manual | How To Pair These Earbuds?

How to Pair The Earbuds?

To an Android Device

Step 1: Place the earbuds into the charging case. Insert the right and left earbuds until they click and make sure that the units are locked in the charging case.

Step 2: Take the left earbud out of the charging case. After that, a “Power On” voice prompt will sound, a blue light will flash two times, and the earbud will turn on automatically. Also, you can press and hold the power button on said earbud for about 2 seconds.

Step 3: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on said earbud for about 7 seconds, until the “Bluetooth pairing” voice prompt sounds and a red and blue lights start flashing alternately, meaning that it will now be ready to pair with any device.

Step 4: Unlock the desired device.

Step 5: Turn on Bluetooth on the desired device.

Step 6: Go to the device’s Bluetooth settings.

Step 7: Select the “WF-SP700N” earbuds. If a password is needed, type “0000”. After that, the “Bluetooth connected” voice will sound, a blue light will flash quickly for 5 seconds, and when it starts flashing with 5-second intervals, the pairing will be done.

Step 8: Take the right earbud out of the charging case. It will automatically pair to the left earbud and the device.

To an iOS Device

Step 1: Place the earbuds into the charging case. Insert the right and left earbuds until they click and make sure that the units are locked in the charging case.

Step 2: Take the left earbud out of the charging case. After that, a “Power On” voice prompt will sound, a blue light will flash two times, and the earbud will turn on automatically. Also, you can press and hold the power button on said earbud for about 2 seconds.

How to Pair The Earbuds Using NFC?

To Android 4.1 Or Later Devices

Step 1: Unlock the desired device.

Step 2: Select the Settings.

Step 3: Select More.

Step 4: Set the NFC function on.

Step 5: Open the lid of the charging case and take the earbuds out. After that, a “Power On” voice prompt will sound, a blue light will flash two times, and the earbuds will turn on automatically. Also, you can press and hold the power button on both earbuds for about 2 seconds.

Step 6: Place the smartphone on the N-Mark at the back side of the charging case. Keep touching the smartphone with the charging case until the smartphone reacts.

Step 7: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing and connection.

Step 8: Select the “WF-SP700N” earbuds. If a password is needed, type “0000”. After that, the “Bluetooth connected” voice will sound, a blue light will flash quickly for 5 seconds, and when it starts flashing with 5-second intervals, the pairing will be done.

How to Disconnect The Earbuds With NFC?

Step 1: Unlock the desired device.

Step 2: Place the smartphone on the N-Mark at the back side of the charging case. A “Bluetooth disconnected” voice prompt will sound on the earbuds and the process will be done.

Step 1: Take both earbuds out of the charging case.

Step 2: Identify the left and right earbuds.

Step 3: Choose the ear tips that best suit your ears.

Step 4: Insert the headphones into the inner canal of the ears.

How to Use The Noise Canceling And Ambient Sound Modes?

Press the power button on the left earbud one time. Each time you press the button, the function is switched as follows:

  • Ambient Sound mode: ON (The “Ambient sound” voice prompt will sound on the earbuds).
  • Noise Canceling and Ambient Sound modes: OFF (The “Off” voice prompt will sound on the earbuds).
  • Noise Canceling mode: ON (The “Noise canceling” voice prompt will sound on the earbuds).

NOTE: The noise canceling mode is turned on automatically with the earbuds.

How to Activate The Quick Sound Setting Mode?

Step 1: Pair the earbuds with a device.

Step 2: Place the earbuds into the ear canals.

Step 3: Play a song or a video on the connected device.

Step 4: Press the power button on the left earbud two times. This will turn the Quick Sound Setting on (The “Quick sound settings” voice prompt will sound on the earbuds).

To turn it off, press the power button on the left earbud two times again (The “Off” voice prompt will sound on the earbuds).

  • Start the voice dial function of the device: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds for about 2 seconds.
  • Activate the voice assistant: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on any of the earbuds for about 2 seconds.
  • Cancel an outgoing call: Press the multifunction touch button on the right earbud one time.
  • Change the call between the earbuds and the connected device: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on the right earbud for about 2 seconds (During an outgoing call).

How to Activate The Mono Mode?

To activate or deactivate the mono mode in these earbuds, all you have to do is to pair the earbuds to the device and take out one of the earbuds from the charging case. It will start working by itself.

To charge the earbuds, all you have to do is to place them into the charging case and close the lid. The earbuds will start charging automatically.

How to Reset The Earbuds?

If the earbuds can’t be turned on, or they can’t be operated even when turned on, reset the earbuds.

Step 1: Place the earbuds into the charging case and keep the lid open.

Step 2: Press and hold the side button on both earbuds for about 7 to 10 seconds, until a red light turns off. After that, the resetting will be done.

NOTE: Pairing information and other settings are not deleted by this operation.

If the earbuds don’t work even after resetting them, then try to restore the factory settings.

How to Restore The Factory Settings?

Step 1: Remove the earbuds from the charging case.

Step 2: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on the left earbud for about 5 seconds. After that, a “Power Off” voice prompt will sound, a blue light will stay on the earbuds for 2 seconds, and the earbuds will turn off.

Step 3: Press and hold the multifunction touch button on both earbuds for more than 15 seconds.

Step 4: After that, the red light on the earbuds goes into a flashing state when a blue light flashes 4 times. This means that the earbuds are restored to factory settings.

Step 5: Delete all “WF-SP700N” earbuds pairing information from the connected device.

A Guide To The Sony WF-SP700N App

The Sony WF-SP700N have an application specially made for them, and it is the Sony | Headphones Connect app, which is available on Play Store and App Store.

Right when you open the application, you will have the possibility to add any device you want. After doing that, you can enter the application as such, which has two parts: Headphones and Information. In “Information”, you will find general information about Sony products, while in “Headphones”, you will find three points:
