The watch starts to consider altitude while calculating distance. What if you don’t activate 3D Data? The answer is pretty simple. If you don’t activate it, the watch will measure your distance as it was on a straight/linear terrain. This will make the watch to skip some meters of the altitude you have just covered. As a result, you will get inaccurate readings.
