NIO Phone debuts with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chipset

China’s very own smartphone, with a design like Google Pixel, the NIO Phone has officially been launched. It has a very simple name with no numbers, but the specs look great. It comes with a vibrant 6.81 inch OLED, up to 1 TB storage, maximum RAM capacity of 16GB, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 5200mAh battery, and much more, all in a very market competitive pricing.

The NIO Phone features a vibrant 6.81-inch Samsung E6 OLED curved screen that has 2k resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and local excitation brightness of 1800 nit. 

The device has a large area ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and supports IP68 dust and water resistance.

The NIO Phone comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor. It has RAM options of 12GB and 16 GB. It has device memory storage of 512GB and 1TB. 

Cameras of the NIO Phone

The rear camera of the NIO Phone has a triple-lens module. It has a primary lens of 50MP (Sony IMX707, 1/1.28” with OIS), 50MP ultra wide angle lens (Sony IMX766 with/1.56”), and 50MP periscope telephoto lens (Sony IMX890 with 1.56” sensor size and OIS). The device has customized focus colors and flying filters.

The battery capacity of the NIO Phone is 5200mAh which supports 66W wired fast charging. It has 50W wireless fast charging and 10W wireless reverse charging. 

Price & Availability 

The NIO Phone has been officially released in China and will be soon available in other parts of the world. It has various options for the users to choose from

  • 12GB/512GB – CNY 6,499 (around $888)
  • 12GB/1TB – CNY 6,899 (around $945)
  • 16GB/1TB – CNY 7,499 (around $1025)
