Realme GT Neo 5 Debuts | The Peak Charging Smartphone

The long-awaited soldier has finally hit the battlefield. Realme GT Neo 5 has been officially released in all its glory. Two variants are being released, one with 150W charging and the other with 240W charging. The 6.74-inch device has been in talks for all the right reasons. It is the first 240W fast-charging capable phone. Moreover, the back design has attracted eyes from all over the globe. The “Halo Awakening System” is something more companies should adapt to.

Design & Appearance

The device has a glass back that looks fine from all sides. On the front, it has a hole punch cutout for the camera. But the main attraction lies on the back of the phone. It has the “Halo Awakening System” right beside the camera module. It has RGB lights that change as the battery lows, incoming messages or calls, and also for gaming mode. The system is a bit transparent to show off the processor.


It has a thickness of 8.99mm and weighs around 199g. This makes it quite handy to use for a longer time. As for the user interface, it has Realme UI 4.0, which is based on the latest Android 13.

Display & Screen

The Realme GT Neo 5 has a vibrant 6.74-inch flexible OLED screen. It has a 2772×1240 pixels resolution and is made with Tianma T7+ luminescent material. For optimized battery consumption, the device has an adaptive refresh rate from 40Hz to 144Hz. The display can go as low as 500 nits and achieve maximum brightness of 1400 nits.

The 1500Hz touch sampling rate, combined with 10-bit color depth, makes the display colorful and adaptive to touch. 

Processor & Storage

The Realme GT Neo 5 drives its power from the Snapdragon 8+ chipset with a 3.0 GHz clock speed. It has UFS 3.1 flash memory to make the buttery processing smooth.


It has various options when it comes to RAM. The 150W version comes in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB variants. Whereas the 240W only has 16GB as LPDDR5X memory.

As for the storage, 240W consumers can choose from 256GB and 1TB. The 150W only has 256GB for storage.

It has an ice dual-phase cooling system (4500mm² 3D tempered VC + 6580mm² graphene micro Nano phase) to keep things cool. This ensures the device performs well even when used for longer intervals.


The rear side of the Realme GT Neo 5 has a three-camera setup to capture your memories. It has a 50MP Sony IMX890 with OIS(Optical Image Stabilization) primary lens. With the Sony IMX355 8MP super wide angle and a 2MP Geco Micro GC02M1 camera. It is the first Hypershot 2.0 that supports multi-frame RAM image calculation.


The front side has only one camera under the punch hole cutout. The 16MP Samsung S5K3P9 is all ready to click your selfies and videos.

Battery & Charging

The simple variant of the Realme GT Neo 5 has a battery size of 5000mAh that can be charged with a 150W enhanced charging version. The company claims it can be charged within 16 minutes.

However, the other variant has a smaller battery of 4600mAh but can be charged with an insane 240W power. The ultra-thin 10c battery will only take 10 seconds to charge 3%. It can charge the phone up to 20% in just 80 seconds. According to the reports, the phone only takes 8 minutes to charge fully.

Network & Connectivity

The Realme GT Neo 5 comes in a 5G variant with fast bands for a smoother user experience. Moreover, it has WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 for fast wireless connectivity. It also has NFC that can be seen from the transparent back and infrared remote control.

Price & Availability

The phone has been released in China and will soon hit the shelves globally. Users can get the device in the following options and prices.


150W version

  • 8+256GB priced at 2499 yuan ($370)
  • 12+256GB priced at 2699 yuan ($400)
  • 16+256GB priced at 2899 yuan ($430)

240W version

  • 16+256GB priced at 3199 yuan ($475)
  • 16GB+1TB priced at 3499 yuan ($515)
