The device has a 12.4mm sound unit that supports 50dB deep sea noise reduction, a 43mAh battery that can last up to 7 hours with just 10 minutes of charging, an IPX5 waterproof rating, and much more.

The earbuds have 6 microphones (3 on each earbud) for noiseless phone calls. For connectivity, the device has Bluetooth 5.3, with a delay as low as 45ms, and supports AAC and SBC audio codecs.

The charging box of the Redmi Buds Air 5 has a battery capacity of 460mAh. Earphones have a battery capacity of 43mAh, which can last for 7 hours after just 10 minutes of charging.

The Redmi Buds Air 5 has been officially released in China and will soon be available in other parts of the world. It has a very affordable price tag, compared to the Pro and Simple versions.
