Over time, on this page we have seen a lot of fights between some of the processors that belong to some of the largest technology companies in the world, and today we return to a great classic battle, and it’s about MediaTek versus Qualcomm. In this new opportunity that some are joining today, we are going to observe all the internal features and specifications that three processors have in total, two from MediaTek, the Helio G25 and Helio P22 and one from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 439. Join us in this adventure to see who is the winner in this Helio G25 vs P22 vs Snapdragon 439 comparison!
Regarding the release dates, it is obvious that the Helio G25 has a great advantage because this processor was shown to the world very recently, on June 30 of this year, which surprised users. That said, both the Helio P22 and the Snapdragon 439 already have been for a long time in the market because both processors were released on May 22, 2018, and June 27, 2018, respectively.
Before we talk about the rest of their internal specs, let’s talk about the process that powers these three processors. In this category, we found a tie, because both MediaTek and Qualcomm decided to place a 12nm process in their processors, which although it is not the best that is available in the current market and cannot be compared to the process of 7nm, yes it continues to work in a great way, and is capable of providing great performance.
It is time to start this great comparison of processors, and we will start talking about the CPUs that are inside of them. In terms of CPU configuration, the Helio G25 and P22 are based on a construction of eight high-performance Cortex A53 cores that operate at a speed of 2GHz. With that being said, the processor presented by Qualcomm has also eight Cortex A53 cores, in the same way, only these are arranged as follows: four high-performance cores operate at a speed of 1.95GHz, while the other four low-performance cores operate at a speed of 1.45GHz.
Observing the way in which the cores of these three processors are distributed, it can be seen that the Helio G25 and P22 are in the lead because it has the largest number of high-performance cores.
Turning to talk about the GPUs that are inside these three powerful processors, in terms of graphical performance, both the Helio G25 and Helio P22 work with the IMG PowerVR GE8320 with a frequency of 650MHz. On the other hand, and talking about the Snapdragon 439, this processor has an Adreno 505 GPU with a frequency of 450MHz.
Now, having seen the GPU of these three processors, and while the Snapdragon 439 works in a great way and can be easily used, the reality is that the 650MHz frequency that the Helio G25 and P22 have gives them the first place in this category.
Going on to talk a bit about this point, in AnTuTu, these three MediaTek processors obtained the following results: the Helio P22 inside the Redmi 6, in third place, obtained a score of 78,679 points; the Snapdragon 439 inside the Redmi 8, in second place, obtained a score of 96,239 points and, lastly and first, the Helio G25 in the Redmi 9A obtained a total score of 102,778 points, which makes it the winner in this category.

In terms of connectivity, all of these three processors have full support for Wifi 5802.11 a/c, Bluetooth in its version 5.0, FM radio, LTE connectivity, as well as up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage.
As for camera support, the Helio G25 and P22 are capable of supporting a single camera of up to 21 megapixels at 30fps and a dual camera of 13 megapixels + 8 megapixels, while the Snapdragon 439 raises the ante for a single camera of up to 21 megapixels and a dual 8 megapixel + 8 megapixel camera. In both cases AI optimizations are included, including simulated Bokeh mode and support for electronic image stabilization.
Finally, before we can give our final verdict and to see what is the best option among these processors at the budget level, we have to know the price of the phones they are on. As we mentioned it in the Benchmark category, and being in the third place we have the Snapdragon 439 inside the Redmi 8 with a cost of $110; in the second place we have the Helio P22 inside the Redmi 6 with a price of $107 and, in the first place we have the Helio G25 inside the Redmi 9A which has a market value of $84.
Concluding this Helio G25 vs P22 vs Snapdragon 439 comparison, we must say that it depends on the user to select the processor that best suits its needs. That being said, and guided by this comparison, it can be seen that, and while the P22 and SD 439 processors are able to work excellently and bring great features to smart devices, the Helio G25 strongly demonstrated that regardless of its time on the market, some processors can be better than others. Not only does it work with scorching power, but this can be seen represented in the AnTuTu score, and that is actually more than enough to determine the best processor.
